Metal tribute act Mosh Spice reworks the Spice Girls' pop anthems into headbanging metal numbers at Ivory Blacks.
Mosh Spice play Ivory Blacks on Thursday 1 April, bringing their metal tribute to the Spice Girls to the city centre. It's a high-energy mashup that reworks the group's pop anthems into headbanging metal numbers, trading bubblegum hooks for screaming riffs, pounding double-kicks and mosh-pit energy. The show runs for two hours, with the act's signature style and platform-boot mayhem at the centre of it.
They describe themselves as the world's first metal tribute to the Spice Girls, and the set is built around that specific collision: pop royalty reworked with a metal attitude. The two-hour run gives them plenty of room to work through the songs, and the full stage show is as much a part of the night as the music. If you're familiar with the original tracks, you'll recognise the melodies, but they're delivered through a very different lens.
