Mogwai tour marking 30 years since their first release, culminating in two hometown shows at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Mogwai are playing two hometown shows at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November, both starting at 7:00pm. The dates close a tour of Europe and Scotland that runs through November 2026, and they mark 30 years since the band's first release and since they founded their own label, Rock Action Records.
The set draws from their entire 30-year discography, including The Bad Fire, their eleventh studio album, which came out last year. Across those 11 albums they've built a post-rock sound of their own, worked around the contrast between brute sonic force and subtlety and grace. Their tenth, As The Love Continues, was their first to reach number one on the UK Official Albums Chart, earned a Mercury Prize nomination and won Scottish Album of the Year.
These two Glasgow dates are the tour's final stop, and the set reaches back across the whole 30 years rather than sticking to the new stuff. You'll hear material from The Bad Fire alongside songs from the earlier records, so the evening pulls from the band's full run rather than just the latest chapter.
