Music legend Leo Sayer returns for what will be his final full UK tour, delivering a high-energy, hit-packed evening.
Leo Sayer is playing The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Friday 13 November, part of what he's calling his final full UK tour. After almost 60 years on the road, he's returning to the UK for one last run of dates across the country. He's clear about what that means: "I love performing for my fans and look forward to doing so for many more years," he said, "but this will be the last time I play so many dates across the country. I am not retiring, just slowing the number of live shows down a little."
It's a good time to catch him if you've been meaning to. The Sydney-born singer has written an autobiography, Just A Boy, and is due to release a career-spanning CD box set this year, so there's a fair bit of his story coming out around the same time as the tour. On the night, he'll be backed by his band, and they're promising a high-energy, hit-packed evening.
If you're wondering which songs he's known for, the list is long. There's "Thunder In My Heart", "Moonlighting", "One Man Band", "I Can't Stop Loving You" and "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing", as well as the transatlantic number ones "When I Need You" and "Have You Ever Been in Love". He also runs his own site, leosayer.com, where he answers fans' questions at least once a month.
