A four-week beginner crochet course taught by Simone of Ceefer Crafts at The Wool Haven, covering essential techniques for new crocheters.
The Wool Haven is running a four-week crochet course on Saturday mornings, 9.30am to 11am, with the final session on 26 October. It's taught by Simone of Ceefer Crafts, who's been teaching crochet at the shop for ten years, and it's built for anyone who's wanted to learn but didn't know where to start. It's especially aimed at beginners who've tried to pick it up from YouTube and found it a bit of a struggle.
Over the four Saturday mornings, Simone covers the basics from the ground up. You'll learn how to hold the yarn and the hook, what to look for when picking out a ball of yarn, and how to read a pattern. From there it moves into the practical side: changing colour, increasing and decreasing, working in rows and rounds, and the classic granny square. You'll also get the finishing touches—joining work and invisible finishes—with time to ask questions as you go.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Glasgow and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
