Dance music duo Kimmic take over SWG3 Warehouse for an all-night session as part of the Colours series.
Kimmic take over SWG3 Warehouse on Saturday 24 October, and they're doing it all night long. It's a single-act bill, so the Dundee hard dance duo — Keiran McLean and Christopher McComiskie — have the whole night to themselves rather than a standard slot. The show is part of the 'Colours' series at SWG3, and it's not their first time here; they've played the venue several times in previous years.
If you haven't come across them yet, Kimmic are a Dundee duo who've been making a name for themselves on the UK scene with a high-energy, no-nonsense brand of electronic music. Their debut single, Never Miss A Beat, came out on Polydor and picked up mainstream support from Radio 1, Capital Dance and Kiss FM, which helped put them on the map as one of the more talked-about acts on the dance circuit. That's the kind of sound they're bringing to the Warehouse: hard dance that doesn't overthink itself.
As for the night, it's just the two of them from start to finish, so you'll hear them build the set across the whole session. The show is part of the 'Colours' series at SWG3, a multi-disciplinary arts space in Glasgow's West End that's home to a community of more than 120 artists and designers and runs an annual programme of exhibitions, gigs, clubs and events. It's a venue that does as much art as it does music, and the Warehouse is the big room where the club nights usually land.
