Australian indie-pop artist brings his synth-charged solo sound to King Tut's, a strictly 18+ night.
Keli Holiday plays King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on Thursday 12 November, bringing his synth-charged indie-pop to Glasgow. The name is a solo alter ego for Adam Hyde, one half of the Australian electronic duo Peking Duk, and the project started in 2021 when the pandemic hit. Hyde describes it as his escape from the creative stagnation of that time: a space for heartbreak, sonic exploration and reinvention away from the multi-platinum, ARIA Award-winning success of Peking Duk.
He's currently gearing up to release his second album, Capital Fiction, which he describes as a bold statement on sex, love and rock 'n' roll. It includes the ARIA Award-winning single 'Dancing2' and the track 'More', so you'll likely hear those and other new material on the night. The set will be his solo project, not Peking Duk.

Hyde has said the live show is where he really gets his kicks, and that he prefers to give the music to the audience face to face, sweat to sweat. That's the core of the night: the songs played out in the room rather than through a speaker. Doors open at 19:30, and the night is strictly 18+.
