Multi-instrumentalist and psychedelic pioneer Kavus Torabi headlines the Nice N Sleazy venue in Glasgow.
Kavus Torabi plays Nice N Sleazy on Tuesday 20 April 2027, with the night starting at 7:00pm. It's a rescheduled date, moved from 19 October 2026, and presented by PCL Presents in a 400-capacity room.
Torabi is a multi-instrumentalist and psychedelic pioneer who's spent the last two decades building a body of work that's hard to pin to one sound. He's known for the transformative instrumental music of The Utopia Strong and the rich, complex output of his own octet, Knifeworld. He's also fronted legendary acts like Gong, Guapo and Cardiacs, so if you've followed the more adventurous end of the UK underground, his name has likely come up more than once.
Beyond the stage, he runs the boutique record label Believers Roast and co-presents The Interesting Alternative Show with Steve Davis, where they champion new experimental, avant-garde and underground music. It's a good way to get a sense of where he sits: right in the middle of the left-field, with a foot in the avant-garde and the other in the psychedelic.
