A festive celebration of K-pop anthems with hits from Black Pink, BTS, Twice and Katsey, plus Christmas songs.
K-Pop Kingdom are bringing their K-POP Christmas Party back to the O2 Academy Glasgow on Sunday 20 December, a festive afternoon built around the chart-topping acts of the genre. The venue is also known as the Carling Academy, and the party returns there as a celebration of K-pop anthems.
The set is built on the hits of Black Pink, BTS, Twice and Katsey, with a few Christmas songs mixed in. It's a daytime affair, with the music running through the afternoon rather than late into the night, so you'll be out well before the pubs close. The K-pop acts take centre stage, and the holiday classics are worked in around them, rather than the other way round.
It's a return for the party, which has run at the O2 Academy before. The afternoon is focused on the big names of the genre, with Black Pink, BTS, Twice and Katsey providing the bulk of the material, and the Christmas songs filling in the gaps. If you've spent the year listening to those four, you'll recognise a good deal of what's on the playlist.

It all kicks off at 1pm on Sunday 20 December at the O2 Academy Glasgow, 121 Eglinton Street, Glasgow South Side, G5 9NT. The party runs through the afternoon, so it's a daytime one rather than a late-night gig.
