Comedy funk show by Archie Henderson as his viral character Jazz Emu, performed with his live band The Cosmique Perfectión.
Jazz Emu plays Òran Mór on Wednesday 11 November, starting at 7:00 PM. For those who haven't come across him, Jazz Emu is the comedy funk alter-ego of Archie Henderson, an award-winning writer, actor and musician. The character has built a following of more than 70 million views across social media and streaming platforms, and this is the live stage version of that persona.
Following runs at the Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Henderson brings the show to Glasgow with his full live band, The Cosmique Perfectión. The story follows Jazz Emu, who lands the headline slot at The Royal Variety Show and stands on the verge of securing a long-coveted knighthood, only to be threatened by a string of recent criminal allegations. It's a comedy set built around that premise, with the band providing the funk backdrop.

Òran Mór is a West End cultural centre and meeting place housed in a converted church, formerly Kelvinside Parish Church. Its name is Gaelic for 'great melody of life' or 'big song', a nod to that heritage. Refurbishment began in 2002 and the venue opened in June 2004; it's now home to two bars, two restaurants, a nightclub and a private event space, alongside the 'A Play, A Pie and A Pint' lunchtime theatre series. The show runs on Wednesday 11 November at 7:00 PM, and tickets are £22.
