Grammy-winning American rapper J. Cole performs live in Glasgow as part of his The Fall-Off Tour.
J. Cole brings The Fall-Off Tour to the OVO Hydro on Monday 26 October, his Glasgow stop on the run. He's billed as one of the most prominent American rappers of his generation, and this is the night he lands here.
Cole's career has been built on detailed storytelling and personal reflection on ambition, inequality, family, race and contemporary American life — a lane distinct from the more celebratory side of mainstream rap. He first drew attention with a Best New Artist Grammy nomination and later won Best Rap Song for his contribution to 21 Savage's 'A Lot'. He belongs to the generation that inherited and adapted the hip-hop traditions that emerged from Black and Latino New York communities in the 1970s.
