Festive stage adaptation of Frank Capra's film, directed by Morag Fullarton and starring Chris Forbes as George Bailey.
It's A Wonderful Life...Mostly returns to Òran Mór on the West End this winter, running from 14 to 30 December 2026 and then 2 and 3 January 2027. It's a fresh take on the festive classic inspired by Frank Capra's iconic film, and it's back after selling out its run last Christmas.
Morag Fullarton wrote and directed the production, and she's known for hits like Doris, Dolly & The Dressing Room Divas, Casablanca: The Gin Joint Cut and A Bottle of Wine & Patsy Cline. The show blends sharp comedy, warmth and ingenious stagecraft, and The Herald gave it five stars, calling it "an ingenious reimagining of one of the festive season's most loved feelgood films."
Chris Forbes, from Scot Squad, takes the lead as George Bailey, with Kevin Lennon, Simon Donaldson (Outlander) and Rosie Graham (Boarders, The School for Good and Evil, Sanditon) alongside him. The original score is by Hilary Brooks, with design by Fraser Lappin and choreography by Ian West.
