Professional ice hockey match between Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers at the OVO Hydro, part of the festive Scotia Series.
MKM Dundee Stars take on Fife Flyers at the OVO Hydro on Wednesday 30 December, part of a double header that brings professional ice hockey to the venue for the first time. It's the first of two games played back-to-back on 30 and 31 December, with the Stars facing the Flyers on the first night and the Glasgow Clan appearing across the two. Both games are part of the new Scotia Series, three matches spread across the festive period that pit Scotland's only three professional teams against each other, with these two Hydro clashes serving as the deciders for the trophy.
There's a second trophy on the line too: the Stars and Clan are also battling for the Caledonia Quaich. The venue bills the occasion as the largest ice hockey attendance in Scottish history, with the ice laid right in the middle of the arena. If you're a season ticket holder, you can claim your seat for free, and there are hospitality packages available at the Radisson RED across from the Hydro.
