80s pop icons Hue and Cry bring their Full Band Scottish tour to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, with Johnny Hates Jazz as support.
Hue and Cry are playing The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Friday 30 October, as part of their Full Band Scottish Tour 2026. They're bringing a full band for this one, and they've got Johnny Hates Jazz supporting them, so it's a double bill from two acts that both fit into a particular era of pop.
If you're not familiar with the name, Hue and Cry are brothers Patrick and Gregory Kane, who started the duo in 1984. They made their mark with their 1987 debut album Seduced and Abandoned, which gave them their first top-ten single, 'Labour of Love'. The follow-up, Remote, brought 'Looking for Linda' and 'Violently', and they kept going through the nineties with Stars Crash Down, Showtime and Jazz Not Jazz. They've sold more than two million records worldwide, put out 15 studio albums, and shared stages with U2, James Brown, Madonna, Al Green and Van Morrison.
There was a bit of a mainstream comeback in 2005, when they made it to the final of ITV's Hit Me Baby One More Time with a version of Beyoncé's 'Crazy In Love'. More recently, they were given the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2025 Scottish Music Awards, a nod to a career that's run for four decades. This Glasgow date is one stop on their Full Band Scottish Tour 2026, so it's a full-band set rather than just the duo.
