Drop-in activity to make your own glass lantern; glass jars provided. Delivered by RSPB.
Halloween Lanterns run at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, from 1pm to 4pm each day. It's a drop-in activity, so you can just turn up whenever suits you across the weekend rather than booking a slot. The RSPB is delivering it, and the whole thing is free.
The idea is simple: you make your own glass lantern. They provide the glass jars, so you don't need to bring your own from home. It's a drop-in session, which means you can wander in, spend as long as you like on yours, and head off when you're done. If you're going with kids, it's the kind of thing that works well on a Saturday afternoon when you've got a few hours to kill and want something they can actually get stuck into.

Because it's a drop-in, you've got two days to choose from. Saturday 17 October and Sunday 18 October both run from 1pm to 4pm, so if you're tied up one day, the other is there as a backup. It's held at Kelvingrove on Argyle Street, right in the West End, which makes it an easy one to fit around other things you might be doing in the city over the weekend. You'll leave with your own lantern to take home, and since it's free, there's nothing to lose by popping in.
