Forever's Eve

Forever's Eve is a black-tie Hogmanay at the Barras Art & Design Centre on 31 December, hosted by The Background Sounds. It's billed as a sophisticated modern vintage spectacular, an immersive evening where time slows and live music carries the room right through to the bells in true BAaD style.

If you're not familiar with the venue, BAaD sits in the heart of Glasgow's world-famous Barras Market. The building is known for its spectacular covered courtyard and a glazed roof held up by pink steel arches, and inside it houses a tropical courtyard, a floating restaurant and a sun-trapped container yard. Beyond the party circuit, it's home to a crop of homegrown artists — jewellery makers, retro furniture restorers, photographers and designers of dress, lingerie and t-shirts — and its cafe serves locally sourced food and home baking. The venue also hosts a craft fair every Saturday and Sunday.

On the night, the music comes from The Background Sounds, who'll be providing the live soundtrack from the dancefloor. It's a black-tie affair, so it's the kind of Hogmanay where you'll want to dress up and stay for the long haul, with the music running right up to the bells. Doors open at 7pm for dinner tickets, and the night goes through to 1am, with last entry at 8.30pm. Tickets are £79pp for Premium and £100pp for Signature VIP.
