Festive big-screen classics including Home Alone, Elf and Love Actually with popcorn and welcome drinks.
Barras Art and Design Centre is running a triple bill of Christmas classics on Christmas Eve, 24 December, with Home Alone, Elf and Love Actually all on the big screen in one day. It's a proper festive marathon, so you can pick one or settle in for the whole run.
Home Alone (PG) kicks things off in the afternoon, with doors at 2pm and the film starting at 2.30pm. Elf (PG) follows in the late afternoon, doors at 4.30pm and the film at 5pm. Love Actually (15) takes the evening slot, doors at 7pm and the film at 7.30pm. Each screening comes with a welcome drink — mulled wine or a soft drink — and popcorn, and there's food from on-site vendors if you're staying on.
If you haven't been, BAaD is a venue, studio, retail space and creative hub in the heart of the Barras Market in Glasgow's East End. It's a unique building with a spectacular covered courtyard and a glazed roof held up by pink steel arches, home to a tropical courtyard oasis, a floating restaurant and a sun-trapped container yard. Beyond film, the hub stages a wide range of events, from parties, weddings and gigs to comedy nights, exhibitions, fashion shows and conferences.
