Definitely Oasis

Definitely Oasis are playing the O2 Academy Glasgow on Saturday 19 December, bringing the sound of the Manchester icons to the city. They're regarded as the best Oasis tribute band, and the night is built around recreating the sound and atmosphere of the Gallagher brothers' legacy. It's a full-on Oasis night, so you'll hear the anthems that defined them.

They aren't the only act on the bill. The Complete Stone Roses are supporting, so the evening covers two of the biggest names from the Manchester scene in one go. Between the two, you've got the Gallaghers' wall of sound and the dance-infused indie of the Roses, both coming from the same city and the same era of British guitar music. It's a double bill that keeps the focus on that particular corner of the music world.

Definitely Oasis describe what they bring as the sound and atmosphere of the Manchester legends, and they pitch it as a proper night out without the stadium price tag. It's a tribute show, so the whole thing is about the songs rather than the original band, and having The Complete Stone Roses on the bill doubles down on that.

Doors open at 17:00, with the curfew set for 23:00, so there's plenty of time to get in and settle before the music starts. It's a Saturday night in Glasgow, and the O2 Academy is right in the thick of it.
