A silent disco party with three music channels, fully stocked bars and stunning production at The Briggait, curated by Day Sessions.
Day Sessions Presents Silent Disco takes over The Briggait on Saturday 14 November, from 3pm to 10pm. It's part of the Day Sessions collection curated by the Gin & Rum Festival, and this one is partnered with AU Vodka.
The whole thing works on three music channels, so you've got a choice of what's playing in your headphones throughout the afternoon and evening. Timeless Classics covers 80s, 90s and 2000s hits; Rhythmic Beats does the latest R&B and contemporary chart-toppers; and Dance Vibes handles house, techno and dance anthems. You switch between them on your own LED headphones, so you can jump from a 90s singalong to a house track without having to move from the dancefloor. The bars are fully stocked, and the whole thing is pitched as all the fun of a night out without the late-night hassle.
It's held in the Clydeside Market Halls at The Briggait, 141 Bridgegate in the Merchant City. The building is Grade A listed and opened in 1873, serving as the city's fish market for more than a century before it was transformed into a home for up to 100 visual artists and cultural organisations. Wasps Artists Studios is based there, the UK's largest provider of affordable studio space for artists and creative industries. The venue sits right next to the river, and the halls themselves provide plenty of room for the disco to breathe.
