British rock legends Dave Hill's Slade return to the O2 Academy Glasgow for a festive night out.
Dave Hill's Slade are back at the O2 Academy Glasgow on Tuesday 1 December, part of their annual Merry Christmas Everybody tour. It's a festive night out with the band returning to the city for their December run, and it's one of eight UK dates this time around, alongside stops in Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Oxford, Bournemouth, Birmingham, London and Manchester.
Slade built their name on a mix of pop and rock'n'roll, a fair bit of flamboyance, and a good deal of fun. They racked up 23 Top 20 singles across a chart career that's spanned six decades, with hits like 'Far Far Away', 'Cum on Feel the Noize' and 'Coz I Luv You' among them. They describe their live show as a dynamic, powerful and exhilarating roller-coaster ride of unadulterated rock'n'roll, and it's that same energy they bring to the Glasgow date.
Founder member Dave Hill is still at the heart of it on lead guitar, and he's joined by John Berry on lead vocals, bass, acoustic guitar and violin, Russell Keefe on lead vocals and keys, and Alex Bines on drums. The band continues to tour the world and remains a firm favourite on the German festival scene, with the December UK tour becoming a regular fixture.
