Brighton alternative rock duo Blood Red Shoes perform live at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, showcasing tracks from their latest album 'Get Tragic'.
Blood Red Shoes play King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on Tuesday 27 October, their first Glasgow date in a while. They're touring their latest album, Get Tragic, which is their first new music in four years. The set will feature tracks from the new record alongside alternative rock hits from their back catalogue.
Get Tragic is a bit of a shift for them. They've brought in more distortion and more synths than ever before, and they describe it as looking firmly to the future, breaking away from the constraints of the genre and ripping up their own rulebook. It's a record they wrote, produced and mixed themselves, so it's their own work from start to finish.
The band is a duo: Laura-Mary Carter on guitar and vocals, and Steven Ansell on drums and vocals. They've been playing together for more than two decades, and this show is part of their first full tour across the UK and Europe since their 20th anniversary shows back in 2024. If you've followed them for a while, this is the first time they've been back on the road with a full new album to play.
