Rising Scottish folk singer-songwriter Blair Davie brings acoustic sets blending introspective lyrics with traditional British influences to King Tut's.
Blair Davie play King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on Thursday 26 November. Davie is a young Scottish artist born in Perth and raised in a musical family, many of them bagpipers. Non-binary, they picked up the guitar at six following their father's lead and have since built a reputation as a UK folk singer-songwriter whose acoustic sets blend introspective lyrics with traditional British influences. The set will draw from their new EP, First and Last, which they describe as an intimate portrait of the love they share with their partner, and which showcases their work as both vocalist and songwriter.
Davie's work sits in that folk-inflected space where the lyrics take centre stage, and First and Last is the latest addition to that body of work.
