Canadian pop-rock icons Barenaked Ladies return to Glasgow for their Yuletide Ride Tour, supported by Boothby Graffoe.
Barenaked Ladies play the O2 Academy Glasgow on Sunday 6 December, their first UK dates since 2023. They're touring the new record, In Flight, which came out in 2024 and followed 2021's Detour de Force. The Glasgow show is part of their 2026 UK tour, the Yuletide Ride.
For those who only know them from the radio, the band started in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario, as a duo of Ed Robertson and Steven Page. They grew into a quintet known for clever wordplay, an improvisational stage presence and an eclectic pop-rock sound. Global superstardom followed with the 1998 hit 'One Week' and the multi-platinum album Stunt, and they later wrote the theme song for the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. After Steven Page left in 2009, the group continued as a four-piece: Ed Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn and Tyler Stewart.
Over 38 years they've sold more than 15 million albums, earned Grammy nominations, won multiple Junos and were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2018. The Glasgow date is one of their first UK shows in three years, so it's been a while since they've played over here. They'll be joined on the bill by support from Boothby Graffoe.
