Leeds indie and rave band bring bold instrumentals to King Tut's, with support acts Kiosk and Share.
Adult DVD play King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on Friday 23 October, with Kiosk and Share supporting. They're a six-piece from Leeds signed to Fat Possum Records, and their debut album, Adult DVD, sits somewhere between electronic euphoria and spiky hardcore energy. The breakout came with the single 'Bill Murray', and the glitchy, anthemic 'Real Tree Lee' became an A-list record at BBC 6Music with BBC Radio 1 support.
They've spent a fair bit of time on the festival circuit, championed at Brighton's The Great Escape and SXSW in Austin, and played to huge crowds at Glastonbury, Green Man and End Of The Road. They've also toured Japan to sold-out shows. The band is fronted by vocalist Harry Hanson and synth player Greg Lonsdale, with Danny Blackburn, Jake Williams, Jonathan Newell and George Manson making up the rest of the six. Their sound draws on chorus-centric indie and acid-house floor-fillers, and they describe their live show as something that could be mistaken for a club night. They've picked up admirers at BBC Introducing, Radio X and Amazing Radio in both the UK and the US.
