A nostalgic rave night presented by Mallorca Lee, featuring classic tracks and resident DJs to celebrate the golden era of the UK rave scene.
1994 Orgasmico is at The Classic Grand on Saturday 5 December, a day-to-night rave presented by Mallorca Lee. It's a return to the room that hosted the original scene, and the whole thing is built around the artists who made the old-skool rave era what it was.
The main draw is Ultra-Sonic!, with Oceano Lee, Ramirez playing live, and Dream Frequency live with original frontman Mikey B. Ramirez brings a catalogue full of rave anthems, and the resident DJs — Joe Deacon, Trevor Reilly, Malcolm X and MC Cyclone — take the crowd through the best of the scene. Neil Skinner, a legendary figure from those years, opens the day with his trademark warm-up set.
Lee describes the show as a journey back to the golden era of rave, drawing on the friendships and the atmosphere of those early years. It's a return to The Classic Grand for him, the same room that hosted the original scene, so there's a bit of full-circle history to it. The line-up is a proper old-skool gathering, with the live acts and the residents working together to keep the energy going from the afternoon right through to the night.
