A relaxed monthly zine-making session run by Coin-Operated Press where attendees can work on their own projects or get crafty with collage supplies.
Zine Club is back at Calton View Cafe on Thursday 15 October, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. It's a monthly zine-making session run by Coin-Operated Press, and it's open to seasoned zinesters and curious newcomers alike. If you've never made a zine before, this is a good place to start.
Each month the group works around a new theme or technique to build your zine-making toolbox, but the approach stays laid-back: you can follow the theme of the month, bring your own projects to work on, or just chill out and get crafty with the cafe's collage supplies and materials. It forms part of the 'Vine Club' workshop series, so it's as much about the process as the finished product. You're also welcome to bring your own zines to get feedback, show off your work, swap ideas or trade with other makers.

The cafe is at 9 Jeffrey Street in Edinburgh Old Town, EH1 1DR. It runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, and it's by donation — pay what you can. If you're into zines, or just fancy an evening of making something by hand, it's a relaxed way to spend a Thursday night.
