Winter Wonderland comes to The Gyle Shopping Centre from Friday 27 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, a new festive experience for the centre with fun, thrills and Christmas cheer for the whole family. It's a fairground set up right in the shopping centre, so you can combine it with your Christmas shopping.
The rides are the main draw: a giant observation wheel, rollercoasters and funfair rides. There's also an ice rink, a German bar serving mulled wine and traditional German market stalls. The organisers describe it as the cheapest ice-skating option in the UK, so it's a good spot if you're looking to get on the ice without spending a fortune.
It's open Monday to Friday from 3pm to 9pm and weekends from 12pm to 9pm, which works well if you're heading there after school or work during the week. You can get there by tram, bus or car, and it's located at The Gyle Shopping Centre, Gyle Avenue, Edinburgh West EH12 9JY.

Prices start from £16.50, with tokens and wristband options to suit how much you want to do. An unlimited ride wristband includes free ice skating, so if you're planning on spending the whole day there, that's the one to go for.
