Australian comedian Vanessa Larry Mitchell returns to The Stand with her new hour, 'Teardrops on My Dildo: Fully Charged'.
Vanessa Larry Mitchell is back at The Stand Comedy Club on Wednesday 28 October, bringing her new hour Teardrops on My Dildo: Fully Charged to Edinburgh. It's a solo show, so it's just her on stage for the full hour.
Mitchell is an Australian comedian who toured her debut solo show internationally before turning to this one. She bills it as a tell-all tale of fun, filth and complete debauchery, and presents herself as the 'Queen of Filth' returning to the stage. The title gives you a fair idea of where she's heading, and the 'Fully Charged' tag suggests this is the updated, expanded version of the material.
She's built a bit of a reputation for being one of the more unfiltered comics on the circuit. The Snee called her 'bold, cheeky and utterly unforgettable', and Kids in Adelaide / Parenting Magazine described her as 'wildly fun and unapologetically real'. The Scotsman went a different route, noting she's 'more relaxed and direct behind a comedy mic than anyone I have seen'. If you've seen her before, this is the new hour; if you haven't, that's a good summary of what to expect.
