Weekly social evening run of about 5 miles around Bruntsfield Place, led by a Jog Scotland run leader, with no set pace.
Bruntsfield Place is the starting point for the Tuesday evening social run on 27 October, meeting at the corner of Bruntsfield Place and Bruntsfield Terrace at 18:15. It's a weekly thing, led by Jill, a Jog Scotland run leader, and it's built around connection and wellbeing rather than competition. There's no structured pace to keep up with, and the group usually settles in at around 6:00-6:30 min/km, so it's an inclusive outing that draws about 10 to 15 people each week.
The route covers roughly 6 to 10 kilometres and varies between roads, trails, hills and flats, taking in both urban and suburban ground. Because the terrain changes, you'll get a bit of everything in one go. It's a social run, so the focus is on the company and the movement rather than the clock.

There are a few practical bits to sort before you turn up. You're expected to have a reasonable level of fitness and you run at your own risk, and there's no coaching provided. You'll need to register with Jog Scotland for free beforehand and they ask that you sign up on Meetup too. It's free to join, so it's an easy way to get out and run with a group on a Tuesday evening.
