John Lewis festive masterclass with live styling demonstrations on how to choose, light and decorate a Christmas tree.
John Lewis Edinburgh is running a Treetorial on Friday 20 November, a festive masterclass on how to style and decorate your Christmas tree. It's one of their seasonal workshops, led by the partnership's Home Design Stylists, and it's held inside the John Lewis Christmas shop on Leith Street.
The session walks through every step of putting together a show-stopping tree, from the basics of picking the right shape and size and calculating light coverage to settling on a decorating theme. There are live styling demonstrations and a preview of the store's favourite hand-picked ornaments, so you can see the techniques in action rather than just hearing about them. It's designed to take you from a bare tree to a finished look, with the stylists talking through the logic behind the choices they make.
The workshop sits inside the John Lewis Christmas shop, which opened with 93 days to go and stocks trees, lights, tableware and nostalgic decorations. The retailer itself dates back to 1864, holds the Royal Warrant of Appointment to King Charles III, and was named Which? Retailer of the Year in both 2025 and 2026. All Treetorial sessions are exclusive to My John Lewis members.
