Session of the Tolbooth Tavern's Late Night Live Music series with traditional and folk musicians from across Scotland.
The Tolbooth Tavern welcomes another session of its Late Night Live Music series on Thursday 28 October, with traditional and folk musicians from across Scotland taking the stage. The tavern sits at 167 Canongate on the Royal Mile, a historic spot that's usually warm and welcoming, and this series brings the folk scene right into the heart of the Old Town.
Each night opens with a welcome drink from the venue's partners, the Loch Lomond Group, so you've got a choice of two Scottish spirits to start with. There's Loch Lomond Single Malt, which they describe as having orchard fruit, honey and soft smoke, and Ben Lomond Gin, layered with eleven botanicals. It's a nice way to settle in before the music kicks off.
Beyond this series, the tavern keeps a steady run of Scottish traditions going. They host Burns Week celebrations, including a 'Burns Trio of Tasters', and a St Andrew's Day evening dedicated to Scottish food, whisky and tradition, so this night fits right into the wider calendar they run throughout the year.
