Inaugural group show of Collective Gallery's early-career programme, bringing together four Scottish artists to explore ritual, myth and memory.
Collective Gallery is showing Time + Space at its City Observatory space on Calton Hill, running from 9 October to 20 December 2026. It's a group exhibition that brings together four early-career artists based in Scotland, and it's the inaugural show for the gallery's new early-career programme, which shares the same name. The four artists are Huss Al-Chokhdar, Hetal Chudasama, Gianni Esporas and Abi Lewis.
Across the room, you'll find new film, sculpture and printmaking, so it's not just one medium to work through. The four of them are working around the same set of themes — ritual, myth and memory — and the show is built on how they each approach them. Because they're all based here in Scotland, it's a good chance to see what's coming through the local scene rather than something flown in from elsewhere.
The City Observatory space is on Calton Hill, so it's a bit of a walk up from the street, but that's part of the draw. It's a distinct spot within the gallery's wider presence in the city, and having the show there for over two months means you've plenty of time to fit it in without rushing. Entry is free, so you can just drop in whenever you're up the hill.
