In-person conference day for primary school teachers and leaders to think about practice and share ideas.
Thinking Deeply about Primary Education is coming to Stewart's Melville College on Saturday 28 November, as part of the TDaPE conference series. It's an in-person session that runs from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, so it's a full morning and early afternoon rather than a quick drop-in.
If you're not familiar with TDaPE, the conferences are designed to bring together thoughtful teachers and leaders for a day of serious thinking, practical ideas and honest conversation. The focus here is primary education, and the whole thing is built around that combination of high-level discussion and things you can actually take back into the classroom. It's less of a lecture and more of a working day, with the 'honest conversation' part being as much a feature as the sessions themselves.
Because it's an in-person event, you'll be in the room with other teachers and leaders from across the city and beyond, rather than watching a screen from home. The Edinburgh stop runs over six hours, taking you from the early start right through to mid-afternoon, so you'll want to clear your Saturday morning for it.
