London band The Skints play a fusion of reggae, dub and punk at Cabaret Voltaire on Blair Street, on their Sour Tooth Tour.
The Skints play Cabaret Voltaire on Thursday 11 February 2027, as part of their Sour Tooth tour. They're a London four-piece, and the night is built around the new material they're taking across the country.
If you're not familiar with them, they play a mix of reggae, dub and punk, and they describe it as a fusion of the three. It's a sound that sits between the heavy bass of dub and the faster, sharper edge of punk, and they've built their name on the live side of things. They talk about the spirit of their South London roots coming through in the music, and that's a good way to get a feel for where they're coming from.
On stage, the four of them cover a lot of ground. Jamie Kyriakides is on drums and vocals; Marcia Richards handles keys, sax, flute, melodica, samples and vocals; Josh Waters Rudge is on guitar and vocals; and Jon Doyle is on bass. With Richards switching between keys, sax and flute, there's more going on in the arrangements than you'd expect from a standard four-piece, and the vocals are shared across three of them. The show is part of the Sour Tooth tour, so the set will be built around the new record.
