Christmas show by The Sensational David Bowie Tribute Band, the UK's premier Bowie tribute act, at La Belle Angele.
The Sensational David Bowie Tribute Band are back at La Belle Angele on Friday 4 December, this time with a Christmas Special. They've built a fair bit of a presence in Edinburgh over the last few years, with a seven-gig sell-out run during the Fringe across 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, so this is a return to familiar ground.
The set covers Bowie's rock and synthpop years, with a good chunk of it drawn from the early records. They work their way through Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs and beyond, and reviewers have pointed to the Ziggy Stardust era in particular as a strong suit. It's a broad sweep of the material, so you'll hear the glam rock of the early seventies alongside the synthpop that came later.
They describe themselves as the UK's premier David Bowie tribute, and the organiser goes a step further, calling it the only act that truly captures the magic of a heyday Bowie concert. It's a bold claim, but it's one they've backed up with sell-out shows across the UK.
