Hogmanay warm-up party with live music from The Haggis Chasers Ceilidh Band and ceilidh dancing at The Biscuit Factory in Leith.
The Haggis Ceilidh Club is running a Hogmanay warm-up party at The Biscuit Factory in Leith on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 December, two nights of ceilidh dancing just before the New Year. The music comes from The Haggis Chasers Ceilidh Band, who describe themselves as one of Scotland's leading modern ceilidh bands. They're the main feature of the night, and the party is run by the club as a way to bring in the Scottish new year in style.
What that actually looks like is live music and ceilidh dancing, with the band and friendly dance callers guiding you through the steps. You don't need any previous ceilidh experience to join in; the callers walk you through the dances as you go, so you can just turn up and get stuck in. The venue has a licensed bar, and the whole thing is set up as a warm-up for Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year.
