Full-day industry conference on Scotland's solar and battery storage pipeline, from domestic rooftops to utility-scale projects.
The Future for Solar & Storage in Scotland 2026 is coming to the COSLA Conference Centre on Tuesday 10 November, a full-day industry conference that takes a long look at Scotland's solar and battery storage pipeline. It's run by Solar Energy UK and hosted by its Solar Energy Scotland arm, and it brings together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, local authorities and the key stakeholders shaping the country's solar and energy storage sector.
The day is built around the whole spectrum of the industry, running from domestic rooftops and home batteries through to commercial and industrial installations and utility-scale projects, with the policy and investment conditions attached to each. The focus is deliberately practical rather than abstract, tackling the ground-level issues of deployment — grid connections, planning and procurement — alongside the policy, market and investment landscape and the political decisions that will define the sector's future. It's a broad sweep, so it works as much for someone working on small-scale residential installs as for those dealing with the larger utility projects.
Because it brings together such a wide mix of people — from the policymakers and investors to the local authorities and industry leaders — it's as much about the networking as the sessions. If you're in the sector, it's a good chance to get in the same room as the people who are actually shaping how solar and storage roll out across Scotland.
