Weekly Monday quiz night with brain teasers, trivia rounds, prizes for trivia skills, great team names and a cashpot.
The Festival Tavern runs its quiz every Monday night at 7pm, a regular fixture in the West End of the city. It's a family-friendly pub on Morrison Street, about fifteen minutes from Edinburgh Castle and close to Usher Hall, so it's easy enough to get to if you're coming from the centre. The pub serves pub food and a wide range of Scottish beers, with a beer garden and dog-friendly seating if you're fancying a drink before the quiz kicks off.
The night is built around a mix of brain teasers, trivia trials and challenge rounds, with prizes for trivia skills, great team names and the big cashpot. It's the kind of thing you can roll up to with a few friends and just play along, but if you're coming with a proper team, there's a bit more on the line than just bragging rights. The venue also runs a Wednesday-night quiz at McGonagall's, the Bad Boy Pub Quiz, where brains, banter and beverages collide in the cosy bar, so if Monday doesn't suit, there's another go later in the week.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Edinburgh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

On the practical side, standard entry is free, and the cashpot entry is £2 per person. Booking is recommended, so it's worth getting your team sorted and letting them know you're coming. The Festival Tavern is at 18 Morrison Street, Edinburgh West, EH3 8BJ, and the quiz starts at 7pm every Monday.
