Christmas season at Princes Street Gardens with the world's largest transportable Starflyer, an 80m tall ride over the East Princes Street Garden Christmas Market.
Edinburgh's Christmas brings the Around the World Starflyer back to Princes Street Gardens from 14 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. It's the world's largest transportable Starflyer, and it returns to the city every winter, so if you've seen it before, you'll know the drill.
Standing 80m tall, it towers over the East Princes Street Garden Christmas Market, carrying riders high above the rooftops. From up there, you get a clear view of the city centre skyline, which the organisers call the finest and most thrilling view in town. It's a fair way up, so you'll see the city from a completely different angle than you usually do when you're walking the streets below.
It's part of the wider Edinburgh's Christmas programme, so it sits right in the middle of the festive activity in the gardens. If you're already heading down for the market, it's an easy addition to the day. It runs from mid-November right through to the start of January, so you've got plenty of time to fit it in whenever suits you best.
