Tribute act The Doors Alive, with frontman Mike Griffioen, plays The Liquid Room on Victoria Street.
The Doors Alive play The Liquid Room on Friday 29 January 2027, starting at 7:00pm. They're a tribute to The Doors, and they describe themselves as the closest thing possible to a real Doors concert and the most authentic tribute act to the Californian rock titans.
They've been at it since 2005 and have played more than 1,000 shows across the UK, Ireland, Australia, Denmark, France, Germany and Chile, where they headlined an arena show to 4,500 fans. Frontman Mike Griffioen takes on Jim Morrison's look, attitude and baritone voice, and the rest of the band mimics the original line-up. They play on the same vintage equipment as the original Doors — a Rhodes Piano Bass, a Gibson G101 organ, a Gibson SG and a Ludwig Mod Orange drum kit — and keep every show unique through authentic improvisations and a regularly changing set of classics such as 'Light My Fire', 'Riders On The Storm', 'When The Music's Over' and 'The End'. They've played the Isle of Wight Festival and billed alongside Status Quo, Canned Heat and Eric Burdon.
