The Bluetones mark the 30th anniversary of their debut album 'Expecting To Fly' live at The Liquid Room, with all four original members performing.
The Bluetones are playing The Liquid Room on Sunday 18 October, as part of a UK tour running through October and November 2026. The night is built around their debut album, Expecting To Fly, which they'll be playing in full. Around that, they'll pull from a catalogue of three Top 10 albums and 13 Top 40 singles, so the set will reach well beyond that first record.
There's a bit of history to the album itself. Expecting To Fly was a platinum-selling debut that entered the UK charts at number one, knocking Oasis' What's The Story (Morning Glory) off the top spot for a week. The single 'Slight Return' reached number two. It's been thirty years since it came out, and this tour marks that anniversary.
One thing that doesn't happen often these days is a band staying together. All four original members are still at the front: Mark Morriss on vocals, Adam Devlin on guitar, Eds Chesters on drums and Scott Morriss on bass. They're the same line-up that recorded the debut, and they're the ones who'll be playing it live.
