Night of short films, talks, a raffle and an exhibition floor celebrating the Scottish winter sports community.
The Backcountry Bash returns to Central Hall in Tollcross on Saturday 14 November, a night for the Scottish winter sports community to get together before the season properly kicks off. It's built around home-grown films premiered by the locals who made them, with talks from the people shaping the scene and a raffle thrown in. The whole thing runs in two halves: it starts with an exhibition floor of standout brands and personalities from the Scottish winter sports community, and then moves into the show itself.
Central Hall is the same venue that hosted the original Winter Opener, with a capacity of around 700, and it's open to everyone regardless of experience level, so you don't need to be a seasoned pro to fit in. Drinks are provided in partnership with the Edinburgh-based Campervan Brewery, and the night is made possible by Teko For Life and sponsored by BCA Backcountry Access.

It runs from 3:00pm to 10:00pm, with last entry at 18:00, so if you're planning to come for both the exhibition and the show, you'll want to get there well before the doors close. Tickets are £22 to £28, and the venue is at 2 W Tollcross, Edinburgh EH3 9BP.
