Tea Social: A Relaxed Evening of Tea and Conversation

Sandra Benn is hosting a Tea Social at PekoeTea Edinburgh on Thursday 19 November, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It's a small-group gathering run by Benn, who also runs Chiya & Chai Tea Tasting Experiences, and the whole thing is built around tea as a way to bring people together for a bit of shared discovery and conversation.

The evening is framed as connection-first, with the conversation meant to flow as easily as the tea. You can come along on your own or bring a friend, and it's not unusual for strangers to leave having made new connections. There's no prior tea knowledge required, so you don't need to be an expert to get anything out of it.

At the centre of the night is a hosted tasting of three loose-leaf teas, with tasting notes shared as you go. Places are strictly limited to keep the setting friendly and welcoming, so it's a small-group affair rather than a crowded room. The tasting is the anchor, but the talking is just as much a part of it.

It runs from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the PekoeTea Edinburgh Tea Studio, 11 Leith Walk, EH6 8LN, and tickets are £15.
