One-day showcase of wellbeing practices with around fifteen 45-minute taster sessions, from yoga and sound to massage and physiotherapy, for over-18s.
The Wellness Barn Edinburgh is hosting a Taster Day - Practitioner Showcase on Sunday 1 November, a one-day event where several wellness practitioners set up at the barn to show what they do. The idea is to discover new practices, meet the people behind them, and sample treatments and movement without any pressure or commitment. It's run by The Wellness Barn, and the day is open to over-18s.
There are around fifteen 45-minute taster sessions to choose from, and you pick two: either two studio experiences or one studio session and one 1:1 treatment, subject to availability. The range covers a fair bit of ground, from 1:1 massage and physiotherapy to yoga and sound, a nervous system workshop, a perimenopause workshop, meditation and sound, and a soundbath experience.
Looking at the names on the day, Isabella White brings Holistic Heart Yoga and Sound, and Angie Garton runs a Soundbath Experience. Laura Martin leads a nervous system workshop, and Julia Mackel hosts a perimenopause workshop. Elspeth Lewis of Pause to Be offers meditation and sound, and physiotherapist Man Yuen Luk is on hand for the 1:1 side of things. Between them, you can mix and match across the studio and treatment options.

The day runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with doors opening at 9:50 am, so it's a full six hours if you want to make a proper afternoon of it. General admission starts from £17, and there's free parking available. Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer yours to someone else if you can't make it. You'll find the barn at 111a Swanston Road, Edinburgh EH10 7DS.
