Annual festive weekend of local independent makers and artisan stalls across the Summerhall site.
Summerhall's annual Winter Market is back on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, with stalls running from 11am to 5pm both days. It's the venue's festive shopping weekend, which returns every December with a curated selection of local independent makers and stallholders spread across the site. This year's edition is billed as even bigger than the last, bringing together independent makers and artisan products from Edinburgh and beyond.
Because the stalls are spread across the venue rather than crammed into one room, you've got a bit of space to wander through and take your time. The focus is on local, independent makers, so it's a good spot if you're looking for something that doesn't come off a high-street shelf. The organisers describe it as a chance to find unique gifts locally, and with the market running across the whole weekend, you can pop in on the Saturday and come back on the Sunday if you need a second look.
