STRIKE WINTER INTENSIVE 2026

STRIKE DANCE EVENTS are running their Strike Winter Intensive at DN Dance Studios on Saturday 14 November, a full day of workshops split into two separate sessions. The first runs from 3:15pm to 6pm for the Junior Intensive, aimed at P1 to P7, and the second follows from 6:15pm to 9pm for the Senior Intensive, for S1 and up. Between them, they cover the whole afternoon and evening, so you only need to pick the one that fits your age group.

Sarah Kerr, who owns STRIKE, leads the day alongside guest choreographer and teacher Alex Orbell. Orbell comes with a strong track record: she's won multiple awards for her work across DWC, GDO and AED, and teaches at some of London's top full-time dance colleges. The two of them run the sessions together, so you'll get both their input on the same day.

It's not set up as a competition. The focus is on learning fun choreography, working on technique and meeting other dancers in a stress-free environment, with some awards and prizes to be won on the day. It's not affiliated with any particular dance school, and it's open to dancers of all levels, so you don't need to be part of a team or a specific class to join in.

Tickets are £30 per dancer, plus a booking fee, and there's an optional STRIKE Edinburgh Intensive T-shirt for £15 in all sizes. The venue is DN Dance Studios, 9b South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh, EH12 9EB. The Junior session runs 3:15pm to 6pm, and the Senior session runs 6:15pm to 9pm.
