A dark, gripping psychological thriller on stage, directed by Roxana Silbert and based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith.
Strangers on a Train comes to The Royal Lyceum Theatre on Grindlay Street from Tuesday 2 to Saturday 6 March 2027. It's a dark, gripping psychological thriller about obsession and the devastating consequences of a chance encounter, directed by Roxana Silbert and presented by Bill Kenwright Ltd.
The story starts when two strangers meet on a train: Charles Bruno, who proposes 'the perfect crime' — two murders committed by two strangers with no motive, no connection and no consequences — and Guy Haines, who dismisses it as a joke. As Bruno's obsession spirals out of control, Guy finds himself trapped in a nightmare of guilt, manipulation and fear. It's based on Patricia Highsmith's novel and takes its cue from Alfred Hitchcock's iconic film, so if you've seen the movie, you'll recognise the setup, but this is the story brought to the stage.
