All-female stand-up comedy night celebrating Scottish Women's Aid's 50th anniversary and raising funds for the charity.
Stand up for Women's Aid! Cheers to 50 years is a comedy evening at The Biscuit Factory on Wednesday 25 November, running from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. It's an all-female line-up, with every act on the bill being a woman.
The night is a celebration of Scottish Women's Aid's 50th anniversary — five decades of standing up for women and children across Scotland. It's a charity event, so the ticket money goes to the cause. If you've got a connection to the charity, or just fancy a night of comedy for a good reason, this is a straightforward way to get involved.
The venue is The Biscuit Factory, a multi-purpose arts, studio and event space in the heart of Leith. It's an industrial-feeling room, which is a bit of a rarity in Edinburgh, and it hosts everything from music and comedy to nightlife and food. It's at 4-6 Anderson Place, EH6 5NP.
