Soul Jam: Fierro Grande

Fierro Grande brings a soul night to Sneaky Pete's on Saturday 31 October, under the Soul Jam banner. It's a Saturday night in the West Port, so it's an easy one to slot in if you're already out in the city.

The night is built around Fierro Grande, who's part of the Big Shindig, a collective that's been keeping soul on the radar around here. If you're not familiar with the name, the Big Shindig is a regular fixture in the city's soul and funk scene, and this is one of their nights. Fierro Grande takes the lead on this one, so the set will be built around his selection.

It's a soul gig, which tells you most of what you need to know: the focus is on the music, the dancefloor, and the records. It's a night for anyone who likes soul, and since it's a Saturday, it's as much about the dancing as the listening. If you've been to a Big Shindig night before, you'll know the sort of thing to expect.

Sneaky Pete's is at the West Port Oracle, and tickets start from £5.50, so it's a low-cost way to spend a Saturday night. The date is 31 October, and the music is soul, so that's the whole of it.
