Simon Fowler, frontman of Ocean Colour Scene, relives the band's biggest hits with new songs and stories across an evening of classic songs and anecdotes.
Simon Fowler plays The Queen's Hall on Saturday 27 February 2027, starting at 7.30 pm. He's the singer, songwriter and frontman of Ocean Colour Scene, the Britpop-era band that took him from Birmingham to the height of 1990s fame, lining up alongside Oasis at Knebworth Festival. He wrote many of the band's biggest songs, including The Riverboat Song, The Circle, The Day We Caught the Train and Moseley Shoals, as well as the number-one follow-up Marchin' Already.
The show, The Ocean Colour Scene Songbook... And Beyond, works its way through that material alongside new songs, while tracing the origins of it all back to his pre-OCS days. It's an evening of classic songs and stories, with the tales and anecdotes filling the gaps between the music. The set draws on the band's best-known work, the newer things he's been writing, and the earlier stuff that came before the band ever took off.
