Shrek Brunch

The Shrek Brunch is at Yotel on Saturday 21 November, and it's a bit of a head-scratcher. The name points to the ogre, but the actual afternoon is a Dolly Parton tribute. It's a session built around the country star's life, legacy and music, with a live Dolly Parton tribute playing about three hours of her favourites, and a resident DJ mixing in party singalongs between the sets. If you're going, the organisers encourage turning up in Dolly-inspired country glam.

It's an adults-only one, so 18+ only. The live tribute takes up the bulk of the afternoon, and the DJ keeps things moving around it, so it's a long stretch of music rather than a quick set. The whole thing runs from midday, with the live performance and the singalongs making up the three hours of entertainment.

Yotel is at 68-73 Queen Street, EH2 4NA, right in the city centre. Doors open at 11:30, and the entertainment runs from 12:00 to 15:00, so you've got half an hour to get settled before the music starts. Tickets are £6.
